(Perforated Lines)

(at last!)

8:26 p.m. They came!! The books have finally arrived! The last delivery of the day, I would think, but they're here and I've got a dreamy little pile to drop into, just when I'd given up for the day ...

... so I sort of want to blitz through this entry and have a nice bath and brew some tea and get into the reading. I now have Freeware and Realware to look forward to, as well as a novel not in the series called Saucer Wisdom. Due to a glitch, book number two, Wetware, isn't here yet, since it's officially out of print and it's coming used, from an independent book store.

Not that I'm complaining. But I have to say that this is the longest I've ever had to wait for anything form Amazon, not that I'm complaining. No complaints here -- not from this happy camper. But before this particular glitch, I would have almost sworn that they were performing magic somehow: hit the order button one day, receive the book the next day.

It's the Republicans, I just know it. Everything is going to pot, except the legal or medicinal use of pot, of course. That would be going nowhere. Plus, if you were thinking of going anywhere this summer, gas prices are going to really be going up -- quel supris! -- so plan your summer fun accordingly.

I will be glad to take a little break from reading the Marrs' conspiracy book. It's sort of bogged down a bit as his lengthy explanation for the Federal Reserve System unravels its slow, laborious skein. The general gist of the book, so far, is that people who control the money also control the world.

That's not likely to change, so I'll put the book aside for a while and concentrate on more pressing matters, like the discussion of alien abductions and the composition of transreal fiction, which I find much more gripping.

Let's see ... how can I acquit myself here and get on with the night? The Iron Chef won once again, this time because his handmade tofu was wrapped in fetching bits of native fabric. I think tonight's Challenger was robbed, and not just because he served his tofu in star-shaped portions. He also wrapped eels in leaves! Is there no justice in the world? Or ...

... maybe it's a conspiracy.

What else? I have to write an On Display entry on the color red, but I have nothing, absolutely nothing, red in my near vicinity. I'll have to get creative tomorrow, and doubly so because I'm going to have to come up with some new designs for the change of the month. Plus! We'll be gaining that hour of sunlight and it's back where it belongs, at the end of the day, thank you very much, and I can really use it.

Hmmmm. The evil Jerri was voted from Survivor Island, although I didn't actually watch. She's sort of ruined the show for me because she's not as wonderful a non-actress as she thinks she is, and so it's become painful to watch. Also, I can't get the burned-flesh guy out of my mind, so it's stopped being fun.

Was it ever that much fun? I used to think so. Now, I don't know. Yes, I'm stalling. Thank you for noticing. I'm out of here ... got some books to read!

Hope I don't step on my glasses on the way out of the tub. That would really be a cruel twist of the dial.
