12:24 p.m. I'm totally exhausted -- really really bone tired. I've been cleaning all day. Beyond cleaning.

Plus, Photoshop still isn't working, so I can't change the image tonight. Worse, I didn't take the photo and I have to figure out the code for making a caption ... but I have to say that this BBEdit approach to the entry is really starting to feel good. Smoother. All handy and do-it-yourself-like.

Tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. a real-estate agent will take a look-see and tell us what she thinks. Trying to get the house ready for her jaundiced eye is the real-life equivalent of a housewife's final exam. And of course, it's pass or fail.

Meanwhile, the under-the-sink piping had to get fussy around 10:30 this evening, just as I was cleaning up the bucket and sponges, but I'm not going to let it worry me. The room that I painted is all put back together. I've even begun to organize my screws.

Little by little, I'm unpacking, ironically. I've still got six or so more boxes to empty, and then there's the small pile of flattened cardboard that has to be put into the garbage. I estimate we'll be fully moved in here just minutes before it's time to start packing up all over again.

Maybe we won't have to move. There's a slim chance that accounts receivable will be received and we can step down from DEFCON 8. If that doesn't happen -- well, that's why we're talking to the real-estate lady tomorrow.

Now, I will go to bed and say my little prayers. See you tomorrow.
