1:11 a.m. Hello again, dear readers. I am in that messy place in the middle of everything where you can't figure out why you began, can't imagine how long you'll be where you are, and can't predict when you'll be finished ...

... plus, my space bar is clanking in a most distressing way ...

So, I'm taking a break from the mess in my office and I've slapped on a photo from a few weeks ago, but it's sufficiently busy and at least it's not a drawing or a picture of a monster bug so I'm a little ahead of the game, right? Hardly.

I have succeeded at practically nothing today, and if there were a pop quiz in this thing called "real life," I'd be a failure at that, too. The biggest problem in working for yourself is your boss. She can really be a piece of work, I tell you. Nothing is ever good enough for her.

I've got twenty things half done, including this entry in my real life ledger.
