12:18 a.m. No real
significance to the photo, except -- if I were to have a
dog, this is the kind of dog I would like.
I also think photos of pets, along with photos of flowers
and landscapes, are uplifting.
Tonight I'm trying to rush to put something, anything, up
on the old website, so an uplifting, frankly adorable photo
seems to be a good way to coast when it comes to the words.
Simply by looking at the photo and letting its cute
vibrations flow through your eyes to the cockles of your
heart, you will not feel as if you've wasted your time by
coming here.
I'm happy to report that I've been taking my own advice,
and by simply pretending to be creative today, I've actually
gotten some good work done. A creative person doesn't let
obstacles get in her way, you know. A creative person solves
problems. A creative person, it should be noted, backs
everything up.
Otherwise, a creative person has a long night ahead.
In other news, although three out of four books ordered
have arrived at my front door, the crucial second book in
the series has still not come. Last night, after finishing
Saucer Wisdom, a book which isn't in the series, I
started in on book three, and I didn't get far before I
realized that all the important plot points of book two were
being quite casually bandied about, and we can't have
that.
So, I very reluctantly put the book down, at went back to
the Marrs' conspiracy book, which is now beginning to seem
like homework. Banking? The Federal Reserve? Who need it?
Interest rates are not interesting.
I watched Survivor tonight. I was having dinner
and the formerly buff and strong individuals were looking
mighty stringy and hungry. They've also been losing their
fishing hooks and basically lying around all day. The fact
that the directors can shape compelling TV out of that is a
testament to story-telling, let me tell you.
And that's about all I can tell you tonight -- I've got
some "creative" work to replace. Don't worry -- my psyche
doesn't realize I've put insulting quote marks around the
word. It still believes I'm creative. No need to spoil the
illusion.
